Bioshock Infinite – Video Game

bioshock_infinite_wallpaper_by_jswoodhams-d5wtkanThe game takes place in the airborne city of Columbia, in 1912, where the player assumes the role of Booker DeWitt, a disgraced Pinkerton agent. Booker has been given the job of finding a woman named Elizabeth, who has been confined by a hulking beast called Songbird and the city’s “Founder” leader Zachary Hale Comstock.

Following in the footsteps of previous BioShock games, the world of Infiniteexplores the chaos that results when strong ideals are taken to an extreme. Here, the philosophical concept of “American Exceptionalism” is perverted into ultranationalism, religious fanaticism, and social Darwinism. Flags, patriotic music, and propaganda posters promote the idea that Columbia is a ‘haven’ from the so-called ‘unwanted’ of the world.”

Overview from Bioshock.wikia.com

Here the Interview with BioShock Infinite Lead Artist Shawn Robertson

Daisy Fitzroy – Biosjock infinite – Video Game

“Daisy was brought to Columbia by Jeremiah Fink who used his contacts on the ground to procure “Negro convicts” for menial labor within the city.[1] Shortly after arriving, she was employed as a housekeeper for Lady Comstock. Daisy admired Lady Comstock, believing her to be genuine for someone on such a high pedestal.[2]

She fled Comstock House after being framed for the death of Lady Comstock, and formed the Vox Populi within a few weeks of her escape. Years later, she was arrested by city authorities in Finkton.[3]

Breaking Bad – TV Serie

Famous serie but for them who don’t know it :

“It tells the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. Together with his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), White turns to a life of crime, producing and selling crystallized methamphetamine to secure his family’s financial future before he dies, while navigating the dangers of the criminal world. The title is from a Southern colloquialism meaning to “raise hell“. Breaking Badis set and was filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 Source Wikipedia

On the left Walter White : “Walter “Walt” Hartwell White Sr., also known by his clandestine pseudonym“Heisenberg”, was a chemist and a former chemistry teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who, after being diagnosed with Stage 3A inoperable lung cancer, started manufacturing crystal methamphetamine to both pay for his treatments and provide for his family in the event of his passing. He is the central character of the series, and is portrayed as a protagonist, antagonist and antihero. As the series progresses, Walter gradually becomes darker and takes on a more villainous role.

On the right Jesse Pinkman : “Jesse Bruce Pinkman is the deuteragonist of Breaking Bad. He is the former partner of Walter White in the methamphetamine drug trade. Jesse was a small-time methamphetamine user, manufacturer, and dealer. He was also an inattentive student in Walter White’s chemistry class, leading to his dropping out. In his mid-20s, Jesse became Walt’s business partner in the meth trade. Before his partnership with Walt, he, operating under the pseudonym “Cap’n Cook”, added a little Chili Powder to make his methamphetamine stand out in the market.

Ryūko Matoi from Kill la Kill – Anime

Ryūko Matoi (纏 流子 Matoi Ryūko?) is the daughter of Isshin Matoi and the main protagonist of Kill la Kill. She transferred to Honnōji Academy searching for the twin of her red Scissor Blade and the person who used it to murder her father.

It is later revealed that she had supposedly died after a failed experiment to fuse her with Life Fibers and that she is the younger daughter of Ragyō Kiryūin and sister of Satsuki Kiryūin. [3]

Sandman from Rise of the Guardians – Animated Movie

One of my favorite “recent” animated movie.

Rise of the Guardians is an animated feature film based on the popular William Joyce book series titled The Guardians of Childhood. North, aka Santa Claus (Alec Baldwin), Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher), Jack Frost (Chris Pine), Bunnymund, aka the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman), and Sandman must band together and stop Pitch, aka the Boogeyman (Jude Law), from plunging the world into perpetual fear and darkness.”

Life is strange – Video Game

I never play it but it’s not the first fan art I see and I hope try it one day !

“Life Is Strange aims to revolutionize choice-based games by allowing the player to manipulate time. The protagonist is Max, a photography senior who discovers she can manipulate time after rewinding it to save her old best friend, Chloe Price. As Max uses her new ability and gets premonitions of a storm coming to Arcadia Bay, she and Chloe try to find out what happened to Rachel Amber, who mysteriously disappeared.”

Source Life-is-strange.wikia.com

Main character : “Max is geeky, quite introverted and slightly self-conscious, particularly when it comes to her photography. According to herself, she rather likes to observe the world around her than actually participate in it; that’s why several students including Juliet think she wouldn’t really care for others. But on the contrary, she makes a genuine effort to show kindness to all of Blackwell’s students. She’s a clear, deductive thinker, smart and sneaky, but practical, reasonable, and mature for her age, especially compared to her best friend, Chloe. She is also brave, placing herself in harm’s way to protect those she cares about.”

“Chloe is a stubborn, mischievous and rebellious young woman. She is the archetypal punk-rocker, expressed in both her music taste and style. She is bold and outgoing, has a big mouth often making snarky comments, acts fearless and loves to take risks, which often gets her in trouble. She can be prone to angry outbursts, and has serious issues with abandonment and trust after her father’s death, Max’s move to Seattle, and the disappearance of Rachel Amber. Due to all her bad experience over the years, she has become pessimistic and resentful of life, convinced that there wasn’t really anyone who actually cared about her or who she could trust in[note 1][2].”

Ralph & Vanellope from Wreck-it Ralph – Animated Movie

If you do not knowt it and want to have a funny and full of emotions moment let’s see it !

“Wreck-It Ralph is a 2012 American 3D computer-animated fantasycomedy film[4] produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.[5] It is the 52nd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The film was directed by Rich Moore, who has directed episodes of The Simpsons andFuturama, and the screenplay was written by Phil Johnston and Jennifer Lee from a story by Moore, Johnston and Jim Reardon. John Lasseter served as the executive producer. The film features the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch. The film tells the story of the eponymous arcade game villainwho rebels against his role and dreams of becoming a hero. He travels between games in the arcade, and ultimately must eliminate a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade, and one that Ralph himself inadvertently started.”

Source Wikipédia

Official bio : “Ralph is a heavy-handed wrecking riot with a heart. For 30 years—day in, day out—he’s been doing his job as “The Bad Guy” in the arcade game Fix-It Felix, Jr. But it’s getting harder and harder to love his job when no one seems to like him for doing it. Suffering from a classic case of Bad-Guy fatigue and hungry for a little wreck-ognition, Ralph embarks on a wild adventure across an incredible arcade-game universe to prove that just because he’s a Bad Guy, it doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy.”

“Known as “The Glitch”, Vanellope is a pixelating programming mistake in the candy-coated cart-racing game, Sugar Rush. With a racer’s spirit embedded in her coding, Vanellope is determined to earn her place in the starting lineup amongst the other racers. Only problem: The other racers don’t want her or her glitching in the game. Years of rejection had left Vanellope with a wicked sense of humor and a razor-sharp tongue. However, somewhere beneath that hard shell is a sweet center just waiting to be revealed.”
